RAMADAN APPEAL
Wishing a blessed Ramadan that will strengthen our iman and build a strong community in North America. This year recommendation for Sadaqat-ul-Fitr is at least $10.00 per person. The donation box for Zakatul-fitr, Zakat and donation is installed outside the Main door (Centre Street) of Khadijah Masjid. In the last 10 days of Ramadan, the main door will be open for receiving donations, Zakat and Zakatul-fitr in the donation box. You can pay Zakat and Zakatul-fitr and all kind of donations through online in the following ways We appeal to all donor organizations and to kind individuals to be generous with their donations. IQRA foundation wishes to raise $3,000,000 Canadian dollars (3 Million). This will be used for 3 purposes:
- Purchasing the building complex at 2371-2385 Centre Street, Montreal. (2.5 Million)
- Renovating the existing Center to accommodate more worshippers and meet the needs of the community. (300 Thousand)
- Renovating the school to provide our children with a practical and utile environment in which they can learn and grow. (200 Thousand)
With the purchase of the building, IQRA Foundation plans on continuing the use of the second and third floors as apartments. These will generate continuous revenue for the center which will allow it to be self-sufficient. Direct Deposits may be made into either of the following accounts:

FEATURES OF PROPOSED BUILDING
- Surface Area 9506 sq. feet.
- Floor Area 24,000 square feet (1st, 2nd & 3rd Floor).
- Three levels, ground floor 9506 sq. feet, upper levels 7,500 sq. Feet each. (Twelve apartments in 2nd& 3rd floor)
- Capable of generating after renovation C$ 268800 (see appraisal report).
- Every year through renting of the 1st, 2nd & 3rd floors.
- Approximately takes 3 minute walk from Metro Charlevoix, close to downtown Montreal (5 minutes by Subway & 7 minutes by car).
FUTURE PLANNING
- Upon the completion of the renovation the 12 apartments that will be generated an extra 15-20% of additional cash flow to offset the cost.
- In south west Montreal, Islamic clothing store and Islamic bookstore are still unavailable.
- We can provide these services with intend to generate additional fund. We can generate also additional fund by operating a school and weekends school programs.
